On scaffolding in Alpharetta, GA, 2014

Embarking on a journey from childhood dreams of artistic endeavors to the reality of a thriving mosaic business, my path has been as diverse as the mediums I’ve explored. Initially uncertain of art’s role in my future, I spent my twenties pursuing a B.A. in cultural studies and exploring different careers while making arts and crafts as a hobby. It wasn’t until the year 2000, at age 30, that I found my niche in recycled art, particularly mosaic.

Driven by resourcefulness and a passion for repurposing materials, I honed my craft, gradually learning to create intricate mosaic designs with skill and integrity. Despite the challenges of balancing motherhood and employment, I persisted in my artistic pursuits, participating in micro-business training and ultimately turning my hobby into a career.

Over the years, I’ve navigated the complexities of entrepreneurship, refining my business strategies and focusing solely on mosaic work. With each commission, I’ve gained invaluable experience and insights into the practical aspects of running a successful mosaic business.

Now, with a flourishing career and a wealth of knowledge to share, I am excited to announce a lecture presentation titled “The Business Side of Mosaic.” Drawing from my own journey, I aim to provide practical guidance and inspiration for aspiring mosaic artists and those interested in architecturally integrated mosaic projects. Join me to explore the nuances of establishing and thriving in the world of mosaic artistry.

I look forward to sharing my experiences and connecting with fellow mosaic enthusiasts on this enriching journey of artistic entrepreneurship.

Note: This is a presentation/webinar I offer. I will post on my Workshops and Events page when the next one is scheduled.
