LoveOly Summerfest took place during the weekend of June 23-25 in downtown Olympia, WA. I was there with a community project that was made through participation by festival attendees over the course of the weekend. We actually finished Saturday afternoon, so I spent Sunday fiddling with spacing and promoting the Metamorphosis mural project. The mosaic is not glued down; only stuck lightly to self-adhesive mesh, and it’s too wide to fit horizontally through my studio doors. So, it has been located in my driveway, waiting for me to finish filling all of the gaps. We do not know where the mosaic will be installed at this time, but it will be in downtown Olympia.
