City of Fontana Mosaic Selfie Wall – May 2026

This 13′ x 16′ stained glass mosaic is located in downtown Fontana, California as of May 2026. It is on the wall of a parking garage behind the Stage Red Theater, next to a new, beautiful library. Improvements are underway in this area, with a plan to develop downtown into an arts district with performances, concerts and festivals year-round.

The mosaic is made of hand-cut stained glass, fabricated over the course of a year. Jill Carter helped with the design and Joanne Daschel fabricated the sky. Several volunteers have helped with grouting and cleaning sections. My apprentices/assistants Jenna Shellman, Austin Davis and Elias Briggs helped with installation prep and Austin and Elias joined me in Fontana for the install. California artists Hannah Maximova and Otto Sturke also helped with the installation.
