Low angle of 23'8" river of mosaic in a patio.

Mosaic for sidewalks, patios and floors can be especially tricky to install, but make a statement. It is very important that the mosaic artist and installer have expertise with this type of installation, or you can run into a number of problems down the line. Materials have to be appropriate for walking on and washing frequently. If outside, only high-fired tiles should be used. A balance between creating a textured surface that isn’t slippery and a consistent surface to reduce tripping is vital. Designs in mosaic can welcome a visitor, lead pedestrians to a destination, or create a striking focal point for a building, courtyard, or park setting.
