On March 15, I completed work on the mosaic I’ve been working on steadily for the past 3.5 months. This commission is located on the 3rd floor of a corporate complex, across from the elevator. Unfortunately, I’m unable to share any other information about the location and it is not publicly accessible. If you know me well enough or follow my social media, you might recognize this scene as my very own garden. This was a wonderful aspect of the project for me; the client was looking for an image of a “garden studio”, so when I showed them my own garden, they immediately loved the idea of me rendering my own space for their concept.
This commission was made on fiberglass mesh using Laticrete thinset and grout. I create the work in sections so it puzzles together into place during the installation. This was installed in 2 days with two helpers.
