L’Occitane Commissions

Between 2014-2016, I was commissioned by the bodycare company L’Occitane de Provence to create mosaic for stores all over the U.S. Most of these commissions were stone floor inlays, which I fabricated in sections on mesh, crated and shipped to the construction site, and they were installed by the contractor. But I also created three sizeable murals, which I installed in person. Doing this work was a crash-course in fabrication, being adaptable, creating work off-site that is easily installed either by me or a tile-setter, coordinating with project managers and contractors, working off of blueprints, and meeting steep deadlines. It also allowed me to build my portfolio with mosaic floor and wall installations in the Dallas Fort Worth and Philadelphia airports, the Prudential Center in Boston, the Time Warner Center in New York City, shopping centers all around the U.S., and one floor inlay in the Banff Springs Hotel in Alberta, Canada.
