Description

This is an original design hand-cut from a single piece of black paper set against a light beige paper. Medusa was a strikingly beautiful young priestess who was turned into a gorgon by Athena to punish her for being “seduced” by Poseidon in Athena’s temple. My papercut depicts her as empowered, dignified and defiant. Her features are strong and solid, her gaze is direct, and she is slightly smiling with confidence. She is taking Athena’s curse and owning the power that comes with it.

The papercut is matted, framed and ready to hang. It is 15.75″ x 12.5″. The price includes domestic shipping. If you are outside of the U.S. email me (jennifer@jkmosaic.com) and I’ll find out the shipping cost.
