Update April 26: Yesterday, Kelley Knickerbocker, Mark Brody, Lynn Adamo (and Bob), Kate Jessup and I met in Olympia to deliver and unpack all of the artwork for this show. It was, as always, exciting to open every box or crate and release the beautiful work inside. I should tell you, this exhibit has been a long time coming. We had a plan in place starting in 2019, and of course 2020 pulled the rug out from under us like everyone else. We did manage to hang another show in Port Townsend in Feb. 2020, when none of us understood what was coming, and then we pulled of a second 2020 show in Lincoln City. In both cases, we had virtual receptions and great engagement, but very little in-person interaction with each other or with art appreciators. So, we are very excited to have a real-life, in-person reception coming up on May 14 for this exhibit. The one person who can’t be present is Richard Davis, but I hope that won’t deter you from joining us. I know he’ll be there in spirit, and he has a lot of fabulous artwork in the show.
Here are a few snapshots I took during the “Unboxing”:
