I am so honored and excited that Fertility is the People’s Choice winner in the Something New IV outdoor sculpture exhibit on Bainbridge Island! Voting took place online and I know some of you voted and I’m very grateful. I’ll be receiving the award from Bainbridge Arts & Humanities at 3:30 on Friday, May 13. Bainbridge has been amazing to work with. I would encourage any Puget Sound region artists with weatherproof sculptural work to submit to this 7show. My piece is for sale through Arts & Humanities Bainbridge and will be on display until July 7, 2022.
UPDATE: The award ceremony was lovely and I had a great time. Click here for a little article about it.
This is what the back side looks like:
*The sculpture is for sale through Arts & Humanities Bainbridge (Admin@AHBainbridge.org) until it is deinstalled on July 7. If it does not go to a permanent home by then, I will install the piece in my garden and that’s where it will stay. Fertility has had some great adventures. It has been included in gallery exhibitions throughout the Pacific NW, spent a year in downtown Auburn, and had its grand finale on Bainbridge Island. I would love for it to spend the rest of its life in a public or semi-public space, but it may just be destined for a quiet life in the country.
